Great Practice Tonight!

We are off to a super start for V3 already…  It looked like we might get rained out tonight, but the rain stopped shortly after players started arriving (from a heavy downpour with lightning half an hour earlier!)  and the fields were OK (with a little creative movement out of the mud zones…).

We are really happy to add Coach David Goodman to the staff!  The U15 defense got a great workout in with him.

Schedules are now posted for Summer Slam - we have 4 teams going (U9, 2-U11 & U13) plus 9 V3 players on the undefeated SB Storm U15 team will be there.

Don’t miss the skills clinics tomorrow night - it’s going to be a lax “skill-accelerator” focused on defense (all players) and goal-tending!

2011 Travel Team Update

The 2011 Select Travel season is shaping up very nicely!  We have an expanded coaching staff with several guest speciality coaches joining us who have recent D1 experience.

U15 / U17 tryouts start this coming Sunday.  We have a strong core in both - looking for more defenders in particular

U13 - the 13’s are going to be very competitive this season and we will have to either make cuts this year or add a second team (how we are leaning).  Anyone who has procrastinated about coming out or letting us know that they are interested should get in gear quickly!

U11 - white team tryouts next two Sundays.  Both White and Blue teams will fill.

U9 - some great talent and surprising size during the first round tryouts.  We plan to field both a White and a Blue team in U9.

Invitations will start to be extended this week.
